Our Story

Cheshire Home Care was founded by my husband’s grandmother in 1989. In 2018, almost 30 years later, my self and my husband, Alex, took over the business.


We have a huge passion for providing local families with personalised, flexible care and our main aim is to always try to go above and beyond in all care that we provide.


Cheshire Home Care is still run with the same family values at its heart and we strive to make both staff and clients fell a part of 'our family'.

Which areas do we cover?

With our office located in central Knutsford, on King Street, most of the care we provide in and around the Knutsford area. This includes: Mobberley, Chelford, Goostrey, Plumley, Lower Peover and High Legh.

All of our carers are local to the area and so are familiar with Knutsford and the surrounding towns and villages.

Although most of our work is privately sourced, we also work in partnership with Cheshire East Council to support them in providing care to some funded clients.

Meet The Team

Amy Tod

Care Manager and Director


Amy has worked for CHC for over ten years. She started as a care worker whilst at University. Amy is different than a lot of care managers in her approach to her role. She makes sure that she knows each of our clients personally, she assists in their care plans being written and will ensure she sees our clients very regularly. Amy takes her role very personally, she is available to clients and her staff 24 hours a day, via an on-call service.

Alex Tod

Office Manager


Alex was always going to work in care. He grew up in the CHC office. From a very young age, he can remember being in the office with team members coming in, a few of those team members are still here today. CHC has been the whole of his life and because of that, he knows the value of high quality, flexible care to the people receiving it and the difference it makes to their lives. He is passionate about care, the people receiving it and the people who deliver it.
